- INSTALLATION:
-
- The CheckMaster requires an IBM or Compatible PC with a minimum of
- 512K RAM and a hard disk drive.
-
- You may wish to install the CheckMaster on to its own separate
- directory. To create its own separate directory, you must get on to
- the hard drive.
-
- Note: On the following instructions, only type the
- commands inside the the quotation marks. Please do not include the
- quotation marks.
-
- Suppose 'C:' is your hard drive.
-
- At the prompt "C>"
- You type 'MD\CHECKM'
- This creates a directory called "CHECKM".
-
- At the prompt "C>"
- You type 'CD\CHECKM'
- This moves you into the directory called "CHECKM"
-
- Now place the CheckMaster Disk into your floppy drive.
-
- Suppose your floppy drive is called 'A:'
-
- At the prompt "C>"
- You type 'A:'
- This now puts you on the 'A:' Drive.
- Note: If your floppy drive was 'B:', you would type 'B:' instead.

- At the prompt "A>"
- You type 'COPY *.* C:'
- This now copies part of the CheckMaster onto your hard disk drive.
-
- At the prompt "A:"
- You type 'C:'
- This now puts you on the hard drive.
-
- Now remove The CheckMaster Disk from the floppy drive
-
- At the prompt "C:"
- You type 'INSTALL'
- This creates completes the installation procedure
-

- A note about CONFIG.SYS :
- The CheckMaster works best when your CONFIG.SYS file contains the
- following minimum commands:
-
- buffers=16
- files=20
-
- To find out if your CONFIG.SYS contains these commands
- At the prompt "C>"
- You type 'CD\'
- This moves you to the correct directory.
-
- At the prompt "C>"
- You type 'TYPE CONFIG.SYS'
- This will type the contents of the file on the screen.
-
- If your CONFIG.SYS file contains these commands, then you are OK!
- If your CONFIG.SYS file contains or exceeds these commands, then
- you are OK!

- Example:
- buffers=17
- files=21
-
- Is OK!
-
- If your CONFIG.SYS file does not contain these commands or does not
- meet the minimum requirements then you must edit your CONFIG.SYS.

- or
-
- Install The Checkmaster Disk into your floppy drive.
-
- At the prompt "C>"
- You type 'COPY CONFIG.SYS + A:\CONFIG.SYS'
-
- Note: if your floppy drive was 'B:' you would type 'COPY CONFIG.SYS
- + B:\CONFIG.SYS' instead. Remove the Disk from your floppy
- drive.

- This will solve the problem.

- You have now successfully installed the CheckMaster !

- Before you run the CheckMaster be sure to reboot your system. Be
- sure to store The Checkmaster Disk in a cool, dry, and secure place.

- GETTING STARTED.

- Whenever you want to use the CheckMaster you need just two
- commands ...

- At the prompt "C>"
- You would type 'CD\CHECKM'.
- This puts you in the correct directory.

- At the prompt "C>"
- You type 'CM'.
- This starts the CheckMaster.

- Note to Dos 5.0 users:
-
- Some (not many) Versions of Dos 5.0 have minor problems
- running the CheckMaster. If problems exists,
- call us at (617) 482-6811 and we will tell you how to solve the problem !
